Title: El modelo Flipped Classroom para aumentar la actividad física del alumnado en el área de Educación Física
Author: Saez Berrocal, María del Pilar
Tutor: Beneyto Seoane, Mar
Abstract: This paper deals with the use of the Flipped Classroom (FC) methodology in the classroom, specifically in the area of Physical Education (PE), in the educational stage of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO). The reasons for this initiative are related to the low figures of children/youth who carry out sufficient physical activity, as well as the short time the PE has in class each week at this stage of education and the high figures of obesity in the child population. The aim of this essay has been to analyse how the FC methodology allows freeing up class time for the theoretical aspects and, allows a greater practical involvement, thus producing an increase in the Motor Commitment Time (MCT). With this model, the teacher acquires an active role in the teaching-learning process, while the teacher acts as a guide-mediator of this process.
