Abstract: The present paper investigates the case of a 31-year-old woman who, at the age of 22, was diagnosed with a left frontal grade II astrocytoma, after presenting two convulsive generalized tonic-clonic epileptic seizures. The tumour recovered thanks to surgery and radiation therapy but since then the patient has been treated with antipsychotic (because of the presence of symptoms) and anticonvulsant drugs. This primary CNS tumour belongs to the group of gliomas, the most prevalent type in the population; it originates from an abnormal multiplication in glial cell tissue, and usually has a good prognosis. At the cognitive level, the results of the patient¿s neuropsychological evaluation show attentional deficits, slowed processing speed, difficulties in verbal memory, working memory and learning, deficits in semantic verbal fluency and verbal denomination, and problems in planning, decision making, cognitive flexibility and initiation. In terms of behaviour and emotions, the patient presents irritability, aggression and disinhibition, as well as apathetic and depressive symptoms. Once the pharmacological treatment has been stabilized, nine years after the diagnosis, an intervention is proposed with the aim of promoting the patient¿s autonomy and increase the quality of life, working on the deficits that negatively interfere in the daily life. Therefore, it will last 10 months in which it will intervene on the cognitive, behavioural and emotional functions affected, using both tangible material and new technologies.
