Title: Estudi transversal de la imatge digital de perfil social. Les disciplines complementàries a la presentació en línia del self
Author: Fort Sabaté, Joan

Abstract: When we hear the definition 'social media user profile image' a photograph inevitably comes to mind. Many social media users host a physical representation of their body and this action, which is one of the first to start interacting, will define us visually, but will also denote aspects of us in the receiver. Implicit connotative meaning inputs or plans that will be sought and desired or not sought and unwanted. The image of the user profile is a gateway to the most sacred and reserved space of the personality, the sancta santorum of identity. It is a first impression, the frontispiece of the digital-social experience. Find out which paths the other behavioral factors will take. This is where the importance of conducting a study on how we sell ourselves to capture virtual friendships lies. Of how we move to get out into cyberspace. This can be done from different disciplines and we have chosen five: aesthetics, legal and protective, marketing, psychological and sociological. No metadescription with these characteristics was found in the consulted bibliography, let alone in the geographical area we selected. This line of research focuses on New Media, Communication and Gender and Communication and the Information Society and includes a local approach to the five aspects proposed.
