Abstract: In this work, we present a 60-year-old patient with corticobasal degeneration (CBD), with 5 years of evolution. She resides with her son and an internal caregiver, she is dependent for IADL and for some ADL. CBD is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by asymmetric Parkinsonism with cognitive dysfunction. There is no cure available for this disease, and it is an irreversible condition with limited therapeutic options. Neuropsychological evaluation of this patient showed moderate to severe cognitive impairment, predominantly on executive functions, learning, memory, praxis, visuospatial and visuoperceptual skills. In addition, a wide motor impairment with tremors both in action and at rest was observed, as well as dystonia, myoclonus, rigidity, hypokinesia, spasticity, and bradykinesia. Emotional assessment showed high levels of depression and anxiety together with moderate apathy. After the evaluation, an intervention is proposed, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the patient, preserving her current cognitive functioning, slowing down the degenerative process and facilitating an emotional, behavioral and functional improvement in her daily life. The neuropsychological rehabilitation program consists of 24 sessions that lasts for 12 weeks. A battery of tests and functional activities will be carried out to improve both preserved and altered cognitive functions. Narrative exposure therapy and Jacobson's progressive muscle relaxation will be used to reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms. Finally, training in the use of external aids and environment modifications will improve patient's security and autonomy.
