Abstract: The aim of the project is to develop a first version of a video game as part of the final degree project in computer engineering. During this development, all the knowledge obtained in the degree will be used and new tools will be needed to achieve the objectives. The videogame is called "Amber's Quest". This is a videogame within the genre of adventure and platforming clearly inspired by the NES classics, with a 2D pixel aesthetic. The game has some basic mechanics where our main character, Amber, will have to complete the different levels by passing the tests that enemies and the environment have for her, and will have to reunite with her parents leaving this strange dimension. In order to carry out this project, I¿ll try to use all the free access tools that are necessary, both programming and design or even musical, in order to reduce costs as much as possible. One giant in the industry is Unity, with many options and the right learning curve. The musical aspect will transform the author's own songs into a classic midi sound and, in case of not having success of it, free libraries will be used.
