Abstract: On the research and optimization phases of industrial consumables, as in our case, lithographic plates, to know and control the environmental parameters during their 'life cycle' is essential to generate and work out the product specifications (R&D targets). This knowledge can help us to reduce and optimize the costs of final product. The transport phase is considered the most critical step under environmental parameters variability, the greatest one on life of product. This knowledge and details have to guide the R&D department in creating a robust product, allows optimization of the type of packaging, choosing the most appropriate transport (conditioned or unconditioned containers) and selecting the most suitable routes. To associate these data with the tracking of the material is a valuable tool during the choosing of the best routes and to control eventual ¿malpractice" case by carriers. This TFM proposes a tracking and monitoring system for the transport phase of lithographic products (offset plates) under climatic conditions. This paper has the aim to design a system that can geolocate, monitor and measure parameters such as temperature, humidity and exposure time. IoT technology (sensors and antennas) will be used and positioned in the external packaging or at a very short distance from the material under studied. The information will be collected inside the container (land transport), then will be extracted, and transfer by wireless technologies to a database to be finally analyzed, elaborated and interpretated. Using AI tools, such as Machine Learning, the study of the data will be completed to help the R&D, Application, Logistics and Purchasing departments.
