Abstract: This paper presents the case of a 38 year old man with severe TBI after a car accident. Brain damage caused by Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is the main socio-sanitary problem for youths worldwide, causing issues at personal, familiar, health and social level. It is expected that by 2030 it will overtake other situations as a cause of death and disability for youths. The resulting injury profile will depend on factors such as: location, severity and extension of the damage, age and education of the patient, score on the Glasgow Coma Scale after the accident, the state of coma and the duration of post-traumatic amnesia. In patients with severe brain injury, as in the case of AAA, is usual to see a late memory recovery. In addition, the physical, psychological, social and labor consequences are typically very severe. Evaluation results showed upper range moderate frontal syndrome, low processing speed and performance (both in working and episodic memory), a dysexecutive disorder, low language fluency, anomia and an anxiety-depressive disorder. The neuropsychological intervention was proposed after a 9 months program, at the rate of two sessions per week during the first 5 months and a session per week during the last 4 months of treatment, always doing online exercises at home. The main objective was to achieve maximum autonomy through improvement of the damaged capacities after the accident and empowerment of the cognitive aspects that were preserved.
