Title: WebQuest en el Aula de Inglés de Secundaria como Herramienta Didáctica para el Desarrollo de la Competencia Comunicativa

Abstract: In recent years, technology has become an even more important part of our lives. In this respect, it is considered essential that both teachers and students must be prepared for constant technological change. In this sense, it is crucial to develop and reinforce the skills to perform tasks in a digital environment, i.e., to improve digital literacy. To this end, this project advocates methodologies focused on the professions of the future that will require teamwork and digital tools. This TFM consists of a didactic proposal based on a WebQuest created for the promotion and development of both communicative competence (the four linguistic skills, sociocultural and discursive competence) and skills called the 4C skills (Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration and Communication), (ISTE, 2007). These provide the competences to learn, teach and lead in the digital era. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of this WebQuest, an example of a motivating didactic unit has been proposed in which the task-based approach (TBA) is introduced in a 4th grade E.S.O. classroom. Finally, it is concluded that this proposal improves learning and helps to achieve the main and specific objectives.
