Title: Diseño de experiencias de aprendizaje basadas en mobile learning para mejorar el desempeño del estudiantado de Educación Superior en países latinoamericanos

Abstract: The forced closure of schools and universities due to COVID 19 had as a response the transition from face-to-face education to remote education. Most countries were not prepared for this radical and abrupt change; however, in developed countries, this situation was better faced by teachers and students, since most of them had the necessary resources, infrastructure and training. However, in Latin American universities the response was different given the conditions of inequality that they had been facing previously. In this context, mobile learning emerges as a powerful alternative to give continuity to the training of university students, due to its characteristics of ubiquitous connectivity, collaboration, communication with others; as well as the lowering of costs that enables the access of mobile devices to students in disadvantaged areas. In addition, its application, being based on conceptual frameworks or learning theories, ensures the development of quality pedagogies and, therefore, the improvement of learning. For this reason, this Master’s Final Project explains the correspondence between the design of learning experiences based on mobile learning and the improvement of the academic performance of Higher Education students from Latin American countries; and proposes a series of recommendations aimed at the techno-pedagogical design of learning experiences based on mobile learning.
