Title: Domótica: análisis de mercado, diseño e implementación de una maqueta
Author: Vives Gracia, Joan

Abstract: Home automation comes from the Latin, domus (house and home) and the Greek automatic (acts autonomously). When we refer to home automation, we are talking about automating a home while, if we are talking about building automation, it refers to the automation of service buildings (hotels, offices, hospitals, industrial plants...). This project can be extrapolated to both concepts. There are currently different types of home automation systems on the market, with a multitude of information, associated technologies and opinions on the internet. For this reason, in order to clarify the concept associated with Home Automation Systems, it is believed convenient to order and carry out an analysis based on the available information, proposing a user guide that facilitates understanding. The TFM is based on the "scientific method", where a question (need) is created, an investigation is carried out, a test and finally an analysis of the results. It will begin by contextualizing the project in a first block, where a vision of the need for Domotic systems will be given. It will continue to provide a vision of existing Home Automation Systems on the market, whether they are free software or proprietary, providing some basic ideas for understanding and final choice of a type of system. In another more technical block, a model of a Home Automation system will be implemented, carrying out the design, configuration and verification by the author. In a final block, the result of the pilot will be addressed, carrying out an analysis of the system from the points of view: economic, comfort, safety and energy efficiency, ending the scientific method.
