Diseño tecnopedagógico de los entornos abiertos o MOOCs

Abstract

El internet desde su surgimiento permitió que se pueda intercambiar información en cualquier momento y lugar. En la actualidad existe tal cantidad de información que de alguna manera permite obtener un aprendizaje de lo que se busca y encuentra. Pero estos nuevos conocimientos adquiridos son de manera informal, puesto que si de necesitar un certificado no existe ningún aval. Este auge de la información nacida por el uso del internet y la validación de lo aprendido permitió abrir camino a los primeros cursos online masivos y abiertos (MOOCs). Los MOOC desde sus inicios hasta la actualidad han ido masificándose a gran escala a través de la web por medio de plataformas tecnológicas, entre sus características son el ser abiertos, participativos y distribuidos, características que comparten con los recursos educativos abiertos. Dado esto, en este ensayo se pretende dar una aproximación al tema y generar un conocimiento base sobre las características, el desarrollo, los insumos que se requieren para su creación y los posibles actores implicados en este proceso. El trabajo realizado se enmarca en el contexto universitario ecuatoriano, tomando en cuenta lo que la constitución ecuatoriana promueve, que la educación es un derecho de todos y todas, y por otra parte desde el reglamento de régimen académico que promueve el autoaprendizaje. Por lo tanto, desarrollar MOOCs es una oportunidad de brindar educación de manera continua y en cualquier momento. Es por esto por lo que resulta importante brindar algunas recomendaciones y criterios para desarrollar un MOOC con el fin de brindar un soporte y homogenizar procesos en instituciones privadas o sector universitario.

The internet since its inception allowed information to be exchanged at anytime, anywhere. In the present there is such an amount of information that somehow allows to obtain a learning of what is sought and found. But this new knowledge acquired is informal, and in need of a certificate, and there is no guarantee of it. This boom of information born by the use of the internet and the validation of what has been learned has allowed the expansion of MOOCs. MOOCs from their beginnings to the present have been massifying on a large scale through the web through technological platforms, among their characteristics are being open, participatory, and distributed, characteristics that they share with open educational resources. Given this, this essay aims to give an approach to the subject and generate a basic knowledge on the characteristics, development, and inputs required for its creation and the possible actors involved in this process. The work carried out is framed in the Ecuadorian university context, taking into account what the Ecuadorian constitution promotes, that education is a right for all, and on the other hand from the regulation of academic regime that promotes self-learning. Therefore, developing MOOCs is an opportunity to provide education continuously and at any time. That is why it is important to provide some recommendations and criteria to develop a MOOC to provide support and homogenize processes in private institutions or university sector.
