Author: Santos Araujo, Diana

Abstract: This research report focuses on the perceptions of early childhood and primary education teachers in an educational center on Universal Design for Learning (DUA) and their training in attention to diversity. The study uses a mixed approach (qualitative and quantitative) with a descriptive exploratory design. The sample consists of 25 participants selected through a non-probabilistic sampling. Data was collected through a questionnaire structured in 4 blocks. The objective is to understand pedagogical practices and teacher training in relation to educational inclusion. The results reveal the lack of training in DUA and the limitations of resources in educational centers. It is suggested to provide more in-depth training, encourage teacher involvement and provide adequate resources to address diversity in the school environment. The study has some limitations in terms of generalizability of the results due to the sample size and possible response bias. Future research could include a larger sample and consider the perspectives of students and parents.
