Title: La perfilació geogràfica aplicada a la prevenció del delicte de robatori amb força a domicili a través del disseny ambiental
Author: Díaz Fernández, Sergio
Tutor: Peñaranda Tomás, Vanessa
Abstract: Residential burglary is a crime closely linked to physical space, which is why its prevention through environmental design (CPTED) is considered one of the most appropriate strategies. From an exploratory perspective, this paper proposes how geographic profiling (GP), an investigative tool also linked to space, can contribute to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of CPTED. By reviewing the scientific literature has identified two aspects of GP related to burglar’s home location, which can be integrated into CPTED: the adaptation to types of situational prevention (primary, secondary, and tertiary), as well as the identification of non-immediate factors that can influence it.
