Abstract: The objective of this work is to carry out a home automation project for a single-family home, remembering that home automation can be defined as the grouping of technologies designed for the control and intelligent automation of homes, which allows us to efficiently manage our use of energy, providing more security and comfort, and of course communication between the system and the user. KNX will be used for this work. This technology offers great features when it comes to home automation, it is a distributed system, it has a competitive cost, there is a great variety of manufacturers, it has a high transmission speed and it is easily expandable if necessary. An introduction to the general aspects of home automation and the components of a residential home automation system will be given, followed by an overview of current home automation technologies, then a focus on KNX technology and an explanation of how it works, and finally a project for a digital home for a single-family house. In the project part, solutions for lighting, shading, air conditioning, energy saving, security and control will be implemented. The single-family house used in the project is a house planned for the year 2021, the original project has no home automation installation and this work is intended to encourage the owner to reconsider the possible installation of home automation in the house in the future construction.
