Abstract: The intention of the work is to study how the COVID-19 pandemic has changed communication and also its diffusion in museums. How the digitization processes of museums have accelerated, what tools are most useful, what are the short-term trends. The museum universe of the Territorial Network of Museums of the Counties of Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre has been selected as they are geographically close museums with great similarities. On the other hand, the communication policy of the Institut Municipal Reus Cultura has deserved our interest to show how the impossibility of managing and deciding the communication policy, has reduced its visibility and has even caused the disappearance of the brand, Museu de Reus. The Reus institution is not connected to its audience and potential segment. It is necessary to integrate the communication area into the global strategy.
