Abstract: There is no doubt that the use of social networks carries risks, but also benefits for the whole of society. The motivation of the present work is to discover, precisely, these in the use by the group of people with functional diversity, since, as in other areas, their experience tends to be differentiated and to run into barriers. Thus, through des-criptive research, both the negative aspects and the potential that can be found in them are discovered. The main conclusion makes media literacy prevailing in a generalized way, to alleviate the risks and favor digital inclusion, as well as all the great benefits that it brings, such as empowerment or socialization.
