Abstract: In this paper we make a thorough description of each of the three tests of continuous assessment&#xD;
(PECs) developed in the Master of Computer Science at the University of Alcalá de Henares&#xD;
(UAH). These have been mediated by five social network technology tools; Glogster, Twitter,&#xD;
Twtpoll, Slideshare and CmapTools which combine with the LMS used for the course.&#xD;
We present the results from each of the previous tests where we observe that after the initial&#xD;
dislocation of the students, the reactions are positive about the integration of different web 2.0 tools&#xD;
in the process of formal education.&#xD;
It also states the conclusions of our work, where we show a series of aims to be considered in&#xD;
order to foster a good relationship and use both learning management systems (LMSs) and 2.0&#xD;
resources within the educational process.&#xD;
We finally point out the future proposals emerging from the work done and to be done? aiming at&#xD;
innovation. This innovation involves taking responsibility and continues working on possible&#xD;
pedagogical models that cross the barriers of traditional LMSs, ignoring the reality of the 2.0&#xD;
moment.

Abstract: Written environments in online learning enable professional discourse to be analysed in depth and provide greater knowledge for improving learning and for planning and delivering courses aimed at professional development. Until now, research into professional discourse has highlighted the importance of interaction in the development of professional discourse, the need to analyse professional discourse as much from a historical point of view as from a situational one and the influence the demands of the context have on this discourse. This study takes this triple result and delves further into the professional discourse verbalised by 21 educational psychologists taking an online practice development course, and incorporates an integrated historical and situational analysis. The professional discourse reflected in interaction observed in a debate activity and in the study material for the course was analysed to discover the principal sources of power and sources of content. The historical analysis revealed four sources of power: researchers of recognised standing, the author of the study material, the expert professional acting as teacher and the primary sources of information. The situational analysis revealed three sources of content: the tasks and contexts, the theoretical models, and the approach and professional practice intervention models. Sources of power, sources of content and also the type of request made by the teacher are elements identified in the discourse that take on a special relevance in the design and planning of courses for professionals in interactive learning environments.

Abstract: Along with the amount of time spent learning (or time-on-task), the quality of learning time&#xD;
has a real influence on learning performance. Quality of time in online learning depends on&#xD;
students¿ time availability and their willingness to devote quality cognitive time to learning&#xD;
activities. However, the quantity and quality of the time spent by adult e-learners on&#xD;
learning activities can be reduced by professional, family, and social commitments. Considering&#xD;
that the main time pattern followed by most adult e-learners is a professional one,&#xD;
it may be beneficial for online education programs to offer a certain degree of flexibility&#xD;
in instructional time that might allow adult learners to adjust their learning times to their&#xD;
professional constraints. However, using the time left over once professional and family&#xD;
requirements have been fulfilled could lead to a reduction in quality time for learning. This&#xD;
paper starts by introducing the concept of quality of learning time from an online studentcentred&#xD;
perspective. The impact of students¿ time-related variables (working hours, timeon-&#xD;
task engagement, time flexibility, time of day, day of week) is then analyzed according&#xD;
to individual and collaborative grades achieved during an online master¿s degree program.&#xD;
The data show that both students¿ time flexibility (r = .98) and especially their availability&#xD;
to learn in the morning are related to better grades in individual (r = .93) and collaborative&#xD;
activities (r = .46).

Abstract: This paper reports on an empirical and descriptive investigation into how teachers&#xD;
and learners use technology in three prototypical learning activities in a higher&#xD;
educational online learning environment. Additionally, the relationship between the&#xD;
educational uses of technology and the overall educational patterns of interaction&#xD;
between teachers and learners, and among learners themselves was analysed.&#xD;
Detailed teacher and learner self-reports about their teaching and learning activity;&#xD;
the asynchronous written messages teachers and learners sent as educational&#xD;
interaction in the online learning environment; and documents produced by&#xD;
students were all obtained. The results from the three learning activities indicated&#xD;
six overall educational uses of technology in an online learning environment.&#xD;
Moreover, the results also indicated differences in technology usage in some&#xD;
different patterns of educational interaction in each learning activity. In conclusion,&#xD;
we argue that the notion of technology educational affordance is useful as an&#xD;
effective bridge between the real use of technology and instructional aims.&#xD;
Therefore the distribution of educational uses of technology is not only related to&#xD;
some attributes of both technology and instruction but also to its interaction.

Abstract: Time has been argued by several influential approaches as essential for understanding learning and teaching processes. In elearning,&#xD;
however, the traditional time limits of such processes are modified, which implies challenges and possibilities for elearning&#xD;
research. This paper is aimed at understanding how time is included in empirical e-learning research literature.With this&#xD;
aim in mind, the paper presents a qualitative review of 24 e-learning papers. Five issues are analysed: the conception of time, its&#xD;
inclusion in an explicative model, its inclusion in the research process, the analytical units, and the data used in the study of time.&#xD;
Based on our analysis, we discuss some implications and potentialities for e-learning research on the relations between time and&#xD;
learning.

Abstract: Creativity is one of the competencies required in order successfully to meet challenges across the life span. After defining the broad concept of creativity and its relevance in education, this paper discusses the out-come of a literature review on creativity in collaborative learning across the different stages of an indi-vidual¿s development, with a specific focus on the use of ICT as a means of fostering the creative learning process. Although much of the literature concerns creativity and critical thinking skills in children and adolescents, we analyze the specific requirements and specificities of these competencies in advanced adulthood. We aim specifically to characterize the capabilities of older adults to collaborate through Vir-tual Learning Environments (VLEs). The last part of the paper discusses means of promoting the devel-opment of creative skills at different ages, notably in elderly persons, and the use of collaborative learning technologies.

Abstract: Las categorías del espacio introvertido y extrovertido definen por excelencia la estructura espacial, que ordena el ámbito de lo privado y lo público en la ciudad. La dualidad del espacio abierto y cerrado, vinculado a la estructura espacial de la ciudad clásica China, quedaba ordenado, justificado y vinculado mediante una estructura espacial muy definida. Sin embargo en el modelo de ciudad contemporánea, aflora la cuestión de la integración de estas categorías espaciales y su articulación dentro de una estructura urbana heterogénea y fuertemente alterada. ¿Cuáles serán los factores de cambio de la transición de un espacio comunitario introvertido a un espacio cívico abierto? Este proceso es un proceso que debe discurrir a un doble nivel espacial y político. Debe discurrir en paralelo a la transición de las categorías espaciales que ordenan identitariamente el ámbito urbano y la progresiva transición socio-cultural y política de una sociedad que debe gradualmente identificar y adoptar como propias las instituciones de gobierno local y su escenario, la ciudad.; The categories of introvert and extrovert space defined by excellence spatial structure, ordering the private sphere and the public in the city. The duality of open and closed space, linked to the spatial structure of classical Chinese city, was ordered, justified and linked by a well-defined spatial structure. However, in the contemporary city model, it appears the issue of integration of these spatial categories and their articulation within a heterogeneous urban structure and strongly altered. What are the factors of change in the transition from an introverted community space open civic space? This process is a process that must be conducted double spatial and political level. Should run parallel to the transition of spatial categories identitarian ordering urban areas and the gradual transition socio-cultural and political society must gradually identify and adopt as their own local government institutions and its stage, the city.; Les categories de l'espai introvertit i extravertit defineixen per excel · lència l'estructura espacial, que ordena l'àmbit del privat i el públic a la ciutat. La dualitat de l'espai obert i tancat, vinculat a l'estructura espacial de la ciutat clàssica xinesa, quedava ordenat, justificat i vinculat mitjançant una estructura espacial molt definida. No obstant això en el model de ciutat contemporània, aflora la qüestió de la integració d'aquestes categories espacials i la seva articulació dins d'una estructura urbana heterogènia i fortament alterada. Quins seran els factors de canvi de la transició d'un espai comunitari introvertit a un espai cívic obert? Aquest procés és un procés que ha de passar a un doble nivell espacial i polític. Abstract: El presente trabajo pretende analizar el impacto que sufrió la Compañía de Jesús en China fruto de la guerra civil china y de la victoria comunista. Este análisis se lleva a cabo a través de la narración del padre jesuita Andrés Díaz de Rábago, quien en una serie de entrevistas cuenta de primera mano sus experiencias. El periodo elegido (1947-1957) no es arbitrario, puesto que en 1947 el padre Rábago llega a China, y en 1957 todas las misiones de China quedan fundidas en una nueva entidad administrativa llamada Provincia de Extremo Oriente. &#xD;
A través del relato del entrevistado analizamos su etapa de formación lingüística en Pekín, su etapa como estudiante de Teología en Shanghai (donde se ordenó sacerdote en 1952), la salida de China y el periodo posterior en Filipinas (1952-1957). Es en ese país donde acabó sus estudios de sacerdote y donde ejerció como tal por primera vez.&#xD;
Más allá del plano personal, esta investigación identifica y analiza los cambios estructurales más destacados en la comunidad jesuita como consecuencia de la expulsión de China. Del mismo modo, también observa los desplazamientos de religiosos, tanto extranjeros como chinos. También hay un espacio para los problemas financieros y logísticos, revelando los detalles más destacados y analizando sus causas y consecuencias fundamentales. Para terminar, también se mencionan las contribuciones de la comunidad jesuita a la sinología para el citado periodo, así como la emergencia de Taiwán como alternativa para esta comunidad religiosa en Asia, y para estos proyectos relacionados con la sinología.; This paper analyzes the impact suffered by the Society of Jesus in China fruit of the Chinese civil war and the Communist victory. This analysis is carried out through the narrative of the Jesuit Father Andres Diaz de Rabago, who recounts his experiences in a series of interviews. The period chosen (1947-1957) is not arbitrary, since in 1947 the father Rabago comes to China, and in 1957 all China missions are fused into a new administrative entity called Far East Province.; El present treball pretén analitzar l'impacte que va patir la Companyia de Jesús a Xina fruit de la guerra civil xinesa i de la victòria comunista. Aquesta anàlisi es porta a terme a través de la narració del pare jesuïta Andrés Díaz de Rábago, qui explica les seves experiències en una sèrie d'entrevistes. El període escollit (1947-1957) no és arbitrari, ja que el 1947 el pare Rábago arriba a la Xina, i el 1957 totes les missions de la Xina queden foses en una nova entitat administrativa anomenada Província de l'Extrem Orient.

Abstract: Para la realización de este trabajo se tuvo en cuenta la importancia que reporta la temática inteligencia emocional, la cual ha sido abordada por otros autores tanto en el ámbito nacional como internacional. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo-transversal, con el objetivo de determinar el estado de desarrollo de las aptitudes personales y sociales en los cuadros de la Universidad de Matanzas Camilo Cienfuegos, mediante la construcción de un mapa de inteligencia emocional y el cálculo del coeficiente de inteligencia emocional general. Se comprobó que en todos los estratos considerados, el coeficiente de inteligencia emocional fue superior a 0,50, valor aceptado como razonable. Estos resultados evidencian que el estado actual del nivel de inteligencia emocional en la universidad antes mencionada, presenta brechas o áreas de oportunidad de mejora, que es preciso tomar en consideración cuando se diseñe un programa dirigido al desarrollo de la misma.; To carry out this work, we took into account the importance of the topic emotional intelligence that has been treated by other authors in Cuba and in other countries. We made a cross-sectional, transversal study, with the objective of finding out the development stage of the personal and social aptitudes in the executives of the University of Matanzas Camilo Cienfuegos, building a map of the emotional intelligence and calculating the general coefficient of emotional intelligence. We found that in all the considered stratus, the coefficient of emotional intelligence was higher than 0,50, value accepted as reasonable. These results show that the current status of the emotional intelligence level in the before mentioned university has fissures or areas of improving opportunities, that have to be considered when designing a program aimed to its development.; Per a la realització d'aquest treball es va tenir en compte la importància que reporta la temàtica intel·ligència emocional, la qual ha estat abordada per altres autors tant en l'àmbit nacional com internacional. Es va realitzar un estudi descriptiu i transversal, amb l'objectiu de determinar l'estat de desenvolupament de les aptituds personals i socials en els quadres de la Universitat de Matanzas Camilo Cienfuegos, mitjançant la construcció d'un mapa d'intel·ligència emocional i el càlcul del coeficient d'intel·ligència emocional general. Es va comprovar que en tots els estrats considerats, el coeficient d'intel·ligència emocional va ser superior a 0,50, valor acceptat com a raonable. Aquests resultats evidencien que l'estat actual del nivell d'intel·ligència emocional a la universitat abans esmentada, presenta bretxes o àrees d'oportunitat de millora, que cal prendre en consideració quan es dissenyi un programa dirigit al desenvolupament de la mateixa.
