Abstract: Girls and boys with high intellectual abilities are contemplated by educational legislation as students who require specific educational support attention. This research responds to a case study of two students with high intellectual abilities who have been motivated and emotionally affected by the lack of specific attention or treatment by the school in terms of their abilities. The study includes an exhaustive theoretical foundation on the incidence of motivation and emotions in this group of students and how they can be affected if this student is not treated in a personalized way in response to their needs and abilities. Likewise, the work includes an educational proposal, specifically an extracurricular enrichment program, devised, designed and put into practice to favor the increase of the motivation of these students as well as to strengthen and enhance their self-esteem and self-perception. The project has consisted of a series of activities on a specific topic (the organization of the end of course) that the students have been developing for themselves and according to their criteria and their abilities. Since the proposal has been carried out, the results that have been obtained since the first session of the program are reflected and analyzed in the study. These results have responded to the different hypotheses raised and have allowed us to confirm that there has been a significant improvement in the students of the case thanks to a treatment and attention according to their needs and abilities.
