Abstract: The objective of this work has been to analyze the methodological elements used by the beneficiary entities of the call for subsidies of the Occupation Service of the Balearic Islands (SOIB) for the realization of integral insertion itineraries in vulnerable groups. The six entities of Mallorca that have attended in 2017 to almost 50% of the entire group of people at risk of social exclusion have been studied. A mixed methodological design has been followed by first performing a qualitative analysis of the methodological elements used by the entities and then analyzing the levels of labor insertion achieved through two indicators: the insertion score defined in the call itself and the number of people hired once the execution of the integral insertion itineraries is finished. The results indicate, in general, that the entities that are best valued methodologically are those that achieve the highest levels of job placement. Although a causal relationship cannot be established due to the limitations of the analysis, some proposals are proposed to be incorporated in future calls for subsidies in order to improve the evaluation of these public employment policies.
