Abstract: With an ethical and responsible management of social networks in the field of medicine and nursing, health education can be promoted, humanization of hospital centers, denials of hoaxes or fakenews bringing science closer to patients and society in general and facilitate communication between health personnel and patients. This paper analyzes the current situation of the use of social networks in the health environment of Reus and proposes a communication strategy in Social Media (RRSS) for the Sant Joan de Reus University Hospital, which will help improve Digital Health (eHealth) of patients and family members. In parallel, it proposes advice and recommendations so that employees and health professionals learn to manage their digital identity and their own social platforms, according to the values and corporate philosophy of the entity. With the involvement of all, through social networks we can build mutually beneficial relationships. The RRSS can become a social and informative support for patients and can meet emotional support needs. They make it possible to reduce health inequalities, since they facilitate access to scientific information and joint decision-making between the doctor and the patient, which makes it possible to improve the quality of the medical service. And, on the other hand, they foster interest in health issues and treatments and education in healthy lifestyle habits.
