Abstract: Barcelona, like all major cities, is not oblivious to traffic accidents that unfortunately end up leaving every year around twenty deaths in the Catalan capital. Are, however, accidents that have specificities that differentiate it from the ones we find on the road. We speak of "urban" accidents and, moreover, in the case of Barcelona, they are conditioned by a very characteristic mobility of this Mediterranean city, tourist and where there is a great variety of types of transport. This Communication Plan is the result of the need to tackle road accidents from this city perspective, understood as that space where cars do not share space with other cars, but with people. Awareness campaigns aimed at a general public, are here in the background to focus on specific messages, from generalities to concretions, and by directing us to restricted groups according to their means of transport usual The other point we are working on is how to approach the road education of young people, since we can not forget that today's children will be tomorrow's drivers. The city can not continue to be allowed more than 9,000 traffic accidents per year. The streets must be areas for meeting, leisure, walking, leisure and life where the youngest and oldest can move safely. To achieve this, we must continue advancing in courageous policies against accidents and in favor of more sustainable and sustainable mobility. But all these changes will not be achieved if they do not go hand in hand with communication and education actions that make people understand that road safety is a shared challenge and a responsibility of all. Fulfilling the objective of zero deaths due to traffic accidents in Barcelona is possible. It's in our hands.
