Abstract: The communication between doctor and patient is often unsatisfactory. This paper addresses the understanding of the medical report by the patient. The objective is to present the results of an understanding survey of a real medical report and a linguistically enriched report. The results obtained are statistically significant because the p-value is 4.5, which allows us to state that patients do not understand the most relevant parts of medical reports and that, on the other hand, they understand enriched reports much better.
