Abstract: Video games are one of the multimedia product par excellence as they are mixed with different digital media into one product. The development of a video game is the perfect project, which a multimedia graduate can put into practice all the knowledge acquired during the degree. In the current context, social networks and technological breakthroughs -that allow getting complex products using a personal computer- make feasible for one person to create a video game by reusing content and software that other people have developed. This would have been unthinkable a few years ago, and a multidisciplinary team would have been needed even for a small project. The purpose of this project is to create a complete video game, going through all the stages of pre-production and production such as: conceptualization, planning, creation of the different audiovisual resources, level design and programming, and they are explained at this document. Unity game engine and its online resource store, named Unity Asset Store, have been used as a backbone for the development. Other software and multiple online resource repositories have also been used to create all the required items. The end result is the Extreme Quiz video game, a first-person action game mixed with a quiz game. It is a complete product, but there is room to enrich the game with several functionalities and improvements, in stages after this delivery. Specifically, the product code has been prepared for the questionnaires to be downloaded online in the near future. This will require a web application -a social network- that will allow the general public to create and share questionnaires. The video game will be able to download this content dynamically -without installing a new version-. Other improvements for later stages include adding multi-language, refining and adding graphical and sound resources, completing gameplay balancing, debugging animations, creating new scenarios, creating new dangers and new enemies.
