Abstract: The revolution experienced in mobile technology during the last decade has meant that people now carry a small powerful computer in their pocket. The features of these devices satisfies a wide range of their owner's needs. Due to these components, there are a lot of applications that utilize these and extend their performance in an unimaginable way. For that reason, these devices have gained great popularity among users, without applications, smartphones would be simple devices for calling. There are a lot of applications, for example for buying, travelling, consuming multimedia content, talking with friends, playing, etc. Due to the number of users and the possibility to reach them easily, any person with a minimum knowledge of code can make a mobile application and distribute it through the app markets. Sometimes, these people only think about reading the app and leaves by side the design and the usability by the side, so the final result isn't attractive or easy to use for users, that means a minimum engagement level by users. This TFM is about the need to do a study which will define the viability of projects and help to improve the design and usability, focusing on following the most used industry standards.
