Author: Martín Olías, Pedro

Abstract: The technological evolution of the IT applications and ICT infrastructures on which they are based make it difficult for the ICT departments of the organization s in their mission to maintain and manage the proper functioning of the applications and Infrastructure. Especially in those infrastructures that are hosted in the Cloud. Tools called Application Performance Monitor (APM) help diagnose performance issues that appear in applications, as well as find bottlenecks that may appear on the systems that underpin the application, and even be able to act proactively before the user may suffer some degradation. This Final Grade Work aims to provide an insight into one of the APM tools provided by Microsoft in its Azure solution, called Azure Monitor, in order to know if it can be used by an organization that has two fully differentiated today, an Azure cloud environment where your website resides and that will be able to host some service in the future from those it offers, and another on-site environment where the rest of the services reside.
