Abstract: The Log2XML application aims at transforming log files in text format with field separator to a standardized XML format. To allow the application to work with logs of different systems or applications, it has a template system (displaying field order and separator character) that defines the minimum structure to extract data from any type of log that is based in field separators. Finally, the application allows processing extracted information to generate reports and statistics. On the other hand, the project delves into the Grails technology.
