Abstract: Emotional Intelligence is increasingly relevant in the educational world. In this sense, the curriculum of pre-primary and primary includes the development of emotions, so teachers must integrate emotional intelligence into daily activities and the classroom environment with all their students. The main aim world be the children's learning, growth and development, and the social role in the society. That is to say, to form people that can interact well with each other and with themselves in the future. However, this is hard to achieve without the help of the teaching staff. The purpose of this research project consists in finding out in which educational level the emotional intelligence is working more. Likewise, it seeks to discover what methodology is applied in students. In order to carry out this investigation, 17 teachers from a school have taken part. They have filled in a online questionnaire. It has developed a monitoring programme where I have done some classroom observation to these teachers and their methodologies. The results show that there is not a great difference between how teachers work with children and emotions in the different key stages. What is more, finding illustrate that the more knowledge and experience teachers have, the better they can deal with emotional intelligence in their lessons. Thanks to the results obtained, the project has been able to respond to the questions raised as well as to the general and specific objectives, and to the hypothesis.
