Author: Galmés González, Edith
Tutor: Hernández Jiménez, Enric
Abstract: This project covers the state of the art of Machine Learning applied to computer security. The objective of this project is to explain Machine Learning, what it is, and how it can be applied within security. To contextualize Machine Learning, an introduction to artificial intelligence is made. To continue, it is explained Machine Learning, its different models and the most common algorithms that are using it. Then the different applications of Machine Learning are listed and a study of their security applications is carried out. Studies and documentation on anomaly detection, malware detection and DDoS attacks are studied more in depth. Finally, conclusions were made about the study.
