Abstract: The purpose of the work is to answer the question "What are the main milestones that characterize the electoral behaviour in High Pyrenees and Aran?". In order to do so, we carried out a longitudinal analysis of the legislative electoral series in the state's lower house and in the Parliament of Catalonia, from 1979 to 2017. The work has an unprecedented character because of the area in which it is focused, since there are no studies so far academics who have done it. We will identify the singularities of electoral behaviour in the territories, in relation to the whole of Catalonia, as well as its homogeneity or heterogeneity between each of the five regions and the Aran, as well as its evolution over time, and the dependent variables that act. To do so, we will use the main instruments offered by political science for political and electoral analysis. What impact does the double ideological axes fracture and axis of national ascription have? How the electoral system impacts, the magnitudes of the district of reference, the existence or not of the dual vote and differential abstention or participation, and the levels of electoral and parliamentary fragmentation. We will conclude that the electoral behaviour in the High Pyrenees and Aran has some clear differential milestones respect to what we find in the whole of Catalonia, and internally we find some heterogeneity in some territories, conditioned by sociodemographic factors, such as the place of birth of residents , its economic capacity and the generational change, guiding its evolution over time.
