Abstract: This article develops previous researches on the connections between gender (masculinity) and bodies (2011 & 2014). Those previous works were part of a research project on the social presentation of bodies and of a research project on bodies and modernization in Equatorial Guinea. Methodologically speaking, I used a gallery of masculine images as a departing point for those works. I considered then that body and gender are co-constitutive dispositives. As dispositives, they exist both in the actions of 'becoming in' and 'becoming with'. Those previous findings took me to think of gendered bodies as 'overflown bodies' that are matter and discourse. In this text, I connect those ideas with some concepts that derive from posthumanist and feminist epistemologies. Following Haraway's idea of bodies beyond skin (1991), these concepts can serve for redefining the 'limits' of bodies and illustrate their complex relationship with the sex-gender-sexuality system.
