Abstract: This work aims at building up a 2D RPG video game, taking into account all its stages and areas. The engine RPG Maker MV has been used for that, since its functionalities are focused on this games' genre and the learning process needed to handle it is fast enough for this project's dimension. The methodology used for the developing has been an agile methodology, beginning with a first complete design phase, a second implementation phase with individual tests for each of the functionalities and a final stage consisting of correcting errors and possible improvements. As final product, we have obtained a completely playable video game with an underutilized character progression system, but original, which allows the player to have control of the skills' learning and the experience's increase in an independent way. Accordingly, its customization will be unique for each player. With this project, we have learnt to manage the development of a software with these features, although in a very superficial way. The planned goals have been satisfied and we have obtained a game according to its design. Even so, the improvement margin is wide, but it's a good base product for continuing with its development in the future and so get a deeper and more improved video game.
