Abstract: | Family businesses are the main source of economic wealth worldwide. In a competitive environment these companies are forced to grow to survive, this growth process is often accelerated and led by the business owners themselves. This rapid evolution can lead to the drag of certain inefficiencies that in a small company can be virtually unnoticed but can significantly affect profitability in a larger company. This is the case of Industrias Cárnicas Blancafort, S.A. a company dedicated to the production of processed cooked meats that, thanks to the effort and vision of its owner and manager, has experienced double-digit annual growth over the past 10 years. Despite this effort, the company's profitability has not improved, and its financial situation is critical. |
