Abstract: In this study, I have tried to identify the requirements to update the systems of a government agency which provides an essential public service. For this reason, although it does not have many users, it needs to have technology that supports the objective of supporting a high level of performance and high availability. Throughout the work I will make a description of the different platforms used to offer the different services and applications used in this society, that nowadays are served from an on-premise environment composed by two data centers that are placed in different places. I will study how to improve the performance and availability of the services according to the requirements demanded, depending on this, we will decide if they should be virtualized or provided from physical equipment. We will also consider which services, due to their characteristics, should be offered from the cloud and which ones should be hybridized. In order to support the changes that are planned, we will have to consider potential modifications in the backup and monitoring systems the company has. For this reason, we will also study possible updates or renewals, and how to adapt these services in a hybrid environment composed of hyper-convergent and composable technologies.
