Title: El pájaro verde - La comunicación política de Vox en Twitter
Author: Lobato Palomino, Víctor Manuel
Tutor: Miquel Segarra, Susana
Abstract: Twitter has become an essential tool for political communication, specially among new political forces. The aim of this research is to analyze Vox's behaviour on Twitter from 1st to 21st of January, 2020, when the coalition government is formed, the possibility of third elections is dissolved and Vox is established as the third political force. To do this, a qualitative analysis is carried out to determine Vox's strategy, it's political agenda, style and ideological components. Results have shown that its strategy prioritizes the issue frame over the political competition; that it implements its strategy through a controversial agenda that seeks to monopolize the media debate; that Vox is a radical non-populist conservative party, and that while Vox exercises broadcasting functions, Abascal maintains a low profile to show himself as a conventional leader of an acceptable political option.
