Abstract: | The need for a confluence between bicycle transport and tourism seems to be the key helping to achieve sustainable mobility in the territories, and this line of work is the basis of this research. The current situation of sustainable mobility is analyzed in the case study through the exploration of the local road network and its implications. The confinement is also studied as an opportunity to raise awareness and transform sustainable mobility. The model of transport use in a territory is defined with the aim of examining whether cycling tourism in protected natural areas can serve as a platform to increase this mode of sustainable transport against the usual transport methods. Qualitative methodology is used based on in-depth interviews and participant observation, and the Logical Framework Approach is applied to diagnose the different social agents. The results allow us to conclude that cycling tourism in their areas of territorial influence can lead to the usage of bicycle as a sustainable local transport and help to implement the culture of cycling and sustainable mobility. |
