Title: Desarrollo de un dispositivo de comunicación de larga distancia

Abstract: Mobile communications are now a basic need to keep connected the society, the most extensive and used network is the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM), this technology through different operators provides a communication service all over the world with other users. The reality is that this network is not accessible to entire population by socio-economic reasons and because the strategic position of the repeaters is designed to supply areas with a high population density. These infrastructures are expensive to install and maintain, which is why companies offer a priced service where most of the cost is based on the time of use. In this way, companies do not guarantee full coverage throughout the national territory, so that in areas of difficult access of with low population the quality of the service is affected or ends up being null. The population of these areas is vulnerable to being unable to report an emergency situation or to suffer the effects of environmental disasters due to not acting in a short period of time such as fires, floods or strong winds. The design of a low-cost, long-distance communication device would largely meet the needs described above. Each communication device (node) can act as a transmitter of the source packet or as a repeater, thus creating a mesh network where we could communicate between two points outside the individual coverage range.
