Abstract: The accessibility of the emergency phone is a problem that has been openly recognized by the European Commission. In Spain, 8% of the Spanish population has hearing problems. 8% who can find on the phone not hope, but a great barrier to immediate assistance that could save their life. This work seeks to generate a solution for the problem of accessibility in deaf people when calling the emergency number 112, within the framework of universal design: a solution usable by everyone and for everyone, hearing and deaf. Using the double diamond methodology, which begins with prior research and iterates the prototyping in a continuous cycle of review with users and experts, the proposal for an accessible and multimodal virtual assistant is presented. Based on the Google Assistant interface, but with a view to integration in various platforms, this solution allows the transcription of calls and the use of Sign Language; and revises the conversational interface to include a user experience according not only to the capabilities of each one, but also to the situation and urgency.
