Author: Pérez Gamisel, Marina
Tutor: Díaz Luque, Pablo
Abstract: With the purpose of developing a guide of essential practices for campsites that want to improve sustainability in their management, a study of the demand and the target public of these establishments has been carried out, furthermore a market analysis has been carried out, detecting that there are consolidated companies at national level and also in the autonomous community of Catalonia that confirm the existence of a market niche. Based on the information obtained, a guide has been developed that brings together those practices considered essential for campsites according to twelve thematic areas and differentiated between basic compliance criteria and those optional depending on the category of the campsite. In this way, taking into account the guide developed, we have contacted the managers and/or owners of the main campsites in terms of sustainability, to carry out an in-depth interview to check what actions they are carrying out in this line.
