Title: La innovació com a font de competitivitat

Abstract: Nowadays innovation is considered one of the most important pillars for companies, not only for the survival of them, but also as a way of improving their competitiveness. Spain was plunged into a crisis in 2008, and since that moment the set of companies in our country reduced their investments in Research and Development. In contrast to that situation all the countries around Europe have increased the resources intended for Research and Development. As a result Spain has lost a lot of power to compete with business from other countries. Innovation as a source of competitiveness, analyses the importance that our company¿s brings to innovate, and we will compare some of the most representative firms of Spain, paying special attention on the paper they confer to innovation, and their evolution in recent years, either good or bad.
