Abstract: The work aims to be a compliment to man's ability to think, as the most specifically human and apparently least used capacity by our species. This praise is made from the guidance of the work of a great thinker and writer of the twentieth century: Hannah Arendt. Hannah Arendt (1906-1975) is a thinker who helps us understand what it is to think and tells us about the roads, the paths, how to build bridges to be able to do it. Much of his work becomes a reflection on thinking and the importance of this human capacity opening the door to understanding the world through peer dialogue and love of diversity. In the last section of the paper, there is a dialogue between the thought of Hannah Arendt and that of Zygmunt Bauman (1925-2017). The interconnection of the thought of both allows to contextualize the work of the first, made in the last years of solid modernity, and to see how its proposal of understanding of the present is valid today and has a clear successor in Bauman that shares many of his ideas and brings them consistently to liquid modernity.
