Title: Espacio de tutorización en la educación universitaria en línea

Abstract: In recent decades, after Spain's incorporation into the European Higher Education Area, research on tutoring at the university have increased. Studies highlight its importance in the educational experience and prevention in student dropout. However, they discover a series of difficulties in their development such as that it has been focused mainly on the resolution of queries on academic subjects and the poor training and predisposition sometimes of university teachers. In addition, online learning modality there are other needs related to the methodologies and the use of ICT. In the following essay, an investigation of the needs arising in the practice of university tutoring is carried out to consider them to guide the design of online tutoring classrooms that anticipate the educational demands of students. At the same time, the figure of personal university tutor detached from the figure of the teacher is defended, to help these difficulties and to provide individualized support throughout the educational process, becoming a quality factor of the institution.
