Abstract: In this essay we present a literature review in which we analyse how Game-Based Learning can favour the promotion of reading, expanding the knowledge about this methodological strategy and its application in the second year of primary school through online education. To achieve this purpose, Game-Based Learning will be defined, the theories that support it and its characteristics, as well as the relationship between this methodology and e-learning.
