Abstract: Perceptions and beliefs have a great influence on how people act, as they proceed according to what they believe and know. A non-experimental exploratory approach has allowed us to quantitatively analyze the perceptions that 81 Higher Education teachers have about their TPACK competencies and the pedagogical usefulness of ICT, in order to explore the use of technologies for the application of pedagogical strategies focused on achievement. of the objectives of the discipline. The results obtained will allow an approach to the current state and weak points that are necessary to consider as a basis for new training actions. By means of the Chi2 statistical tests and linear regression, the direct relationship between the studied variables has been established, obtaining that teachers who declare themselves to have high TPACK skills use technologies in the teaching-learning process. Through an exploratory factor analysis, the characterization of the teachers has been achieved with respect to their disciplinary, pedagogical, technological domains and the teaching typologies in the pedagogical use of ICT, resulting in the individualization of both approaches of the surveyed group. The behaviors observed respond to high TPACK competencies, but low competencies for technological collaboration, to teachers with greater technological competencies for collaboration, but low pedagogical abilities; and in the pedagogical approach, behavioral, constructivist and cognitive-motivational stereotypes are evidenced. These practices and their interrelation show the need for continuous ICT pedagogical training.
