Abstract: This study aims to establish a relationship between the use of augmented reality and the promotion of abstract thinking skills in Primary Education students. It has started from the exhaustive analysis of the studies and conclusions existing up until now, pointing out the relationships found between the study topics and proposing, at the same time, future lines of action. From this analysis and the relationships extracted, it is concluded that, indeed, through augmented reality as a didactic resource it favors the development of abstract thinking in the Primary stage, a key competence in the knowledge and information society in which it is found immersed in this new educational paradigm.
