Abstract: Strategic planning has been implemented in recent years within the management of universities, increasingly seeking the involvement of the people who are part of its implementation. As a result, it is necessary to consult not only the stakeholders of the universities, but all the people who are part of the institution. In this way, a participatory process is implemented at the UOC through the Decidim platform. This research aims to see what the behaviour of people with the Decidim platform is, the roles that participants have within, the impact that has the dynamization of the process in the participatory process and, finally, differentiate this interaction in the two phases of the participatory process and the five axes of debate. To do this, two qualitative methodological approaches and a quantitative approach were conducted. The first qualitative approach consists of carrying out a content analysis of 25 interviews (5 interviews with the technical managers of the platform and 20 interviews with an intentional sample of the university's own staff). The second qualitative approach is based on the qualitative analysis of the contributions made by users of the platform based on the roles they have developed. And finally, a quantitative approximation is made with data extracted both from the platform and from Matomo. As a result of this study, it is observed that most users have a positive perception of the platform, regardless of whether they are responsible or users of the platform, with few differences between the two profiles, and that the usability and the clarity of the platform information are also positively assessed. However, it can be observed how those responsible show a resident behaviour on the platform, while users have a more visitor behaviour. On the other hand, the roles that users have developed on the platform have focused on three types: initiators, continuators, and polemicists. Finally, it can be seen how the communicative actions implemented through the UOC's usual communication channels influence people's interaction with the platform, and that this interaction has changed according to the phase of the process in which it was conducted.
