Abstract: The use of new technologies for public management and the provision of public services has, in recent times, meant a radical change in the way administrations act and relate to citizens. This revolution is not alien to local administration nor local administration officials with national enabling. The exercise of functions to these officials reserved and, particularly, the public faith of the secretaries, which is the object of this TFM, are transformed by the new technologies, requiring the profession to review its role in the municipalities, where, often, they are attributed to functions of a managerial nature. The purpose of the research is to analyse the impact of the development of electronic administration on public faith, if it is being digitized to the same extent as the rest of the organization, why, and how this phenomenon affects the secretaries themselves, from the perspective of their functions and role within the organization. To do so, the protagonists have been approached directly, requesting their views on the matter. Have been used both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, through a questionnaire, and qualitative, through several interviews with key informants members of the collective. It follows from the results obtained that the implementation of the digital public faith has not progressed at the same rate as the entire electronic administration. Organizational difficulties, the digital divide and even regulatory problems hinder its expansion. What is clear is that it is a process without return and that will require the secretaries to try to adapt to a new reality in which new competences will have to be achieved, especially in the digital and managerial field.
