Title: Análisis de los servicios criptográficos en la nube pública
Author: Gómez Pérez, Juan Enrique
Tutor: Canto Rodrigo, Pau del
Abstract: The public cloud was born in 2006 with Amazon Web Services and has experienced a huge adoption with the migration of virtually any type of service or data to it. Cryptography today plays a critical role in the security and authenticity of the activities we perform and is undoubtedly an essential service to move these workloads. Understanding the possibilities offered by the cloud, how to operate and manage these systems, how key protection protocols work, or if the processes allow interoperability between different cryptographic systems, are a series of relevant issues that we will analyze in this work. To do so, we deploy a PKI in the public cloud and we will analyze these aspects based on different use cases most common in the industry: protection of data in transit (SSL/TLS certificates) and protection of data at rest (encryption of data objects or volumes).
