Abstract: The purpose of this work is to develop Super Pixel Adventure, an indie style action-adventure video game with retro 8 bits aesthetics. This game is a simple open world where we have to get 3 hidden chatons and defeat a final Boss. We have tried to adjust the difficulty so that the player proceeds with caution before executing any action and, slowly, to be able to successfully complete the game. The project has been developed mainly with Godot Engine, a free and open source graphics engine with 2D and 3D capabilities. We have also tried, as much as possible, that all the additional software used in the project is also free of charge. The methodology used in the creation of the videogame has been mainly to come up with concepts and develop them through self-learning and trial and error. The final result of the project has been satisfactory insofar as the planned objectives have been met and a functional and error-free game has been obtained. However, due to the limited development time available, many of the ideas had to be abandoned and will be developed in the near future.
