Abstract: The pandemic caused by COVID-19 and the restrictive measures to prevent its spread have been precipitating factors in the increase of eating disorders (hereinafter referred to as ED), especially in the adolescent population (1), as well as in patients who previously suffered from this type of disorder. eating disorders (hereinafter referred to as ED), especially in the adolescent population (1), as well as in patients who previously suffered from this type of disorder. ED is a mental disorder characterized by the existence of an altered relationship of behavior and feelings about food, including altered absorption of food according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V) (2) with the consequent affectation at both the physical and psychological health level. These disorders become more relevant in the adolescent stage, a group especially influenced by the biological and physical changes they undergo, which makes them one of the most vulnerable groups per se, and especially at this time in history (pandemic due to COVID-19) where social isolation, increased use of social networks, the canons of beauty and the culture of image, together with the need to acquire healthy habits in terms of food and physical fitness, prevail. The extraordinary situation due to the pandemic and thinking about a possible appearance of a similar situation in the future leads us to the need to create a program for the prevention and detection of ED in adolescents of 3rd and 4th ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education) in secondary schools by providing, on the one hand, tools to the educational staff and on the other hand, promoting personal skills for a healthy self-esteem, promoting healthy habits and ensuring a safe access to social networks for adolescents in 3rd and 4th ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education).
