Title: La col·lecció de segells sassànides del Museu de Montserrat
Author: Canyameres Giménez, Pau
Tutor: Vidal Palomino, Jordi
Abstract: In this study, therefore, we propose to study and analyse one of these Mesopotamian collections that has yet to come to light. This is a small number of Mesopotamian seals from the Sassanid period of different types of materials, shapes and iconography from one of the most important collections, in terms of quantity and quality, in Spain: that of the Museum of Montserrat in Catalonia. Although the most notable Mesopotamian pieces in the Museum are the more than 1100 cuneiform tablets and the almost 100 cylindrical seals, it was thought appropriate to focus our study on a subgroup of seals that are not very common and about which we can still learn a great deal.
